University Honors and Scholars Center Summer Research Internship

The University Honors & Scholars Center has announced that it will continue to award up to ten Summer Research Internships, each in the amount of $2,000, to especially promising with distinction candidates so that they will have the opportunity to enhance significantly the quality of their Honors Research and Thesis Projects. Selection will be made by a University-wide committee with the charge of evaluating the student's research proposal, the student's academic performance and promise, and the faculty mentor's commitment to the project. Candidates for the award should assume that, if selected, they will spend approximately forty hours per week doing research over a ten-week period and that this research will provide the basis upon which to do more intensive research during the senior year. Applications are available in late winter both at the University Honors & Scholars Center (220 West 12th Avenue, 292-3135) and in the ASC Honors Office in 207 Enarson Hall. The deadline for submitting proposals is usually late March.
