Graduate story - Ricardo Locci
"When you go to college you expect to be in and out in 4 years with major you started with, pursuing that career you put in your high school yearbook, and grabbing that diploma with all your friends in the Shoe. For me that wasn’t the case… at all… The truth is life happens. Medical issues happen. Apparently even worldwide pandemics happen. It took me 10 years to graduate because I had to take medical leave and I wouldn’t have it any other way. While attending OSU and living in Columbus I truly found myself. I truly found my passion. I truly found some of the most compassionate and loving people I have ever met. I also found plenty of hard work and I definitely found a lot of resiliency. But now thanks to those amazing people and all of that resiliency I am off to the next chapter and excited to be chasing some crazy big beautiful dreams. So yes even my graduation didn’t go as plan, but it kind of fits. Shoe or no shoe. 4 years or 10 years. No one can take this away from me. I am so proud to be officially an OSU Alumni, a buckeye for life, and I’m ready to take on the rest of the world."
