McMahon Research Scholarship

The McMahon Research Scholarship is now available for undergraduate students majoring in Political Science or History who are doing research in their major (Political Science or History). Applicants should be working with an OSU faculty member on a research project and/or writing a thesis/significant independent project. Students who apply for the Arts & Sciences Undergraduate Research Scholarship will be automatically reviewed for the McMahon Research Scholarship, although students may apply for both.

The scholarships, which typically range from $500 to $2,000, can be distributed in any term in which the student is enrolled in at least one credit hour and working on the research project.  The funds automatically go first toward the payment of the recipient’s university tuition and fees.  By federal law, no student can be awarded aid in an amount which exceeds the estimated cost of education as established by Student Financial Aid. If you are already receiving aid up to the cost of attendance limit, please contact Student Financial Aid before submitting your application to determine your eligibility.

Students may apply by emailing the below information to Lindsey Chamberlain at chamberlain.55@osu.edu. The deadline is rolling.
