Advising Appointments

How to Schedule an Advising Appointment

***Default appointment method is via Zoom. However, you can request an in-person appointment.  Please check out the ways to schedule with an ASC Honors Advisor here.

Current ASC Honors Students

Visit OnCourse to schedule an appointment with your assigned ASC honors advisor. You may also schedule an appointment by calling the ASC Honors Office at (614) 292-5104 and choosing option 1.  Have a quick or urgent question?  Walk-in advising might be the right option for you. Please view the weekly newsletter for walk-in advising information.

Pre-Professional Advising

If you would like to meet with an ASC honors advisor who is not your assigned academic advisor for pre-professional advising (pre-health, pre-law, etc.), please call the ASC Honors Office at (614) 292-5104 and choose option 1 to make an appointment.

Students Who Are Not Current Members of the ASC Honors Program

Please email ASC Honors.

Office Hours

The ASC Honors Office is open Monday through Friday:

1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
(We are closed from noon to 1 p.m. each day.)

Guidelines for Academic Advising Appointments

  • All appointments are made through OnCourse or the central office. Please do not e-mail your honors advisor to request an appointment.
  • Phone appointments scheduled in advance are also available.
  • Request to see your assigned honors advisor, but if your honors advisor is not available and you have urgent business, you may request the first available honors advisor.
  • Appointments for honors advisors book up quickly during certain periods of the semester (especially around scheduling!). Plan to schedule an appointment a week or two in advance.
  • At the time of your appointment, be sure to check in at the front desk in 100 Denney Hall.
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, the honors advisor may not be able to see you.
  • If you find you will not be able to keep your appointment, visit OnCourse or call (614) 292-5104 to cancel it as soon as possible. This will give another student the chance to see a advisor during the reserved time.

To make the most of your academic advising appointment:

  • Arrive a few minutes before your appointment so you can begin on time.
  • Come prepared to ask questions—write them down to be sure you remember them.
  • If you have questions specific to your major, you should see your departmental honors major advisor, not one of the Arts and Sciences honors advisors.

Departmental Honors Advisors

If you have questions or concerns specifically about your major or minor, please contact the departmental honors advisor for the relevant department.  To make an appointment with a departmental honors advisor, please call or e-mail that advisor.
