Give a warm welcome for the newest addition to our team! Kathy Youngkin (she/her/她) is our newest Academic Advisor for the Arts and Sciences Honors Program who will work primarily with students in the biological sciences. She earned dual bachelor's degrees (2014) in East Asian Languages and Cultures and Chinese Education, and a M.Ed. in Special Education (2022),  from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Prior to coming to Ohio State, Kathy worked as a Mandarin Chinese teacher for 7 years and was an International Student Advisor for 3 years. Kathy has lived and traveled extensively in China through various study abroad and work trips, in addition to other international travels – including two months in Thailand. In her spare time, Kathy can be found reading, making pottery, or wrangling one of her two cats.
