Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Joanna is the Advising Manager in the Arts and Sciences Honors Program.  She has degrees in Biology, History, and Comparative Studies (Folklore), and has worked in education her entire professional career. Academically, Joanna’s interests involve historical ethnography and depictions of transgressive women in folklore. Professionally, Joanna researches the benefits of peer-to-peer support for undergraduates. She also coordinates the Arts and Sciences Honors Peer Mentor Program.

Outside of work, Joanna enjoys crocheting and anachronistic historical costuming while spending time with her family (human and canine).
