Arts and Sciences Honors Peer Mentor Program

The Arts and Sciences Honors Peer Mentor Program provides sophomores, juniors, and seniors with the opportunity to serve as a resource for first-year students in the ASC Honors Program. The Peer Mentor Program will be integrated into the ASC Honors survey class during autumn semester. In survey class, Peer Mentors will assist academic advisors in leading discussions on a variety of topics. Peer Mentors will also work together and with academic advisors to develop an interactive presentation/discussion for survey class on transition issues and adjusting to college life. Throughout the academic year, Peer Mentors will also provide information and support to first-year students.

Honor Societies

Phi Beta Kappa

The Phi Beta Kappa Society is an academic honor society that celebrates and advocates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.  Membership in the Ohio State University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa (Epsilon of Ohio) is an honor accorded to students who have performed with excellence while completing a program of exceptional strength and breadth.  Qualified juniors and seniors are elected to Phi Beta Kappa by a committee made up of Ohio State faculty, and those accepting membership are honored during the annual initiation ceremony in the spring.

Phi Kappa Phi

The Ohio State University Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi invites eligible juniors, seniors, graduate students, and faculty to membership during the spring of each year and honors those who accept membership during its annual initiation ceremony, to be held during the spring. The chapter uses its share of initiation fees to offer various undergraduate and graduate scholarships.
