Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

College Exams

Expect college exams to be different from high school tests.  College exams can cover material from your readings, discussions, homework, quizzes, lectures, and any other supplemental material the professor assigns.  The format of exams will vary.  Tests and exams can be short answer, multiple choice, essay or final paper, or a presentation.  Depending on the discipline and the instructor's preference, exams may be comprehensive or limited coverage, open book or closed.  During the first class when the instructor is explaining the syllabus, make sure to note the type and format of the exams.  If you ask questions, you will know what the instructor expects of you, and that information can help you better prepare for your exams.
